After so many beta releases and RC, the Firefox 4 final version is here and is available to download from FTP server of Mozilla. In the review of Firefox 4 RC, we talked about the clean UI and improved performance of the browser. Now the final build of Mozilla Firefox 4 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Today, I upgraded from Firefox 4 RC to the final version from the browser’s menu only.
Mozilla is expected to release the Firefox 4 on official site by tomorrow but if you can’t wait for that, you may directly download the latest version from their FTP server. If you are using RC version, here is how you can update the current RC to final version.
Go to Firefox Menu (top-left corner) ==> Help ==> About Firefox, and there you can see the browser will check for the latest version. It will start downloading the latest version and then you need to click on “Apply updates” to install the updates. Once you will click on the “Apply updates” button, the browser will restart and the latest version will be installed.
