Default and New Wallpapers of Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal

Canonical has already released Ubuntu 11.04 alphas (total 3 alpha versions) and the first beta is expected on March 31. The final version of Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal) will released on April 28, 2011. But before the beta release, Canonical has released new wallpapers of Ubuntu 11.04 and here is also the default wallpaper of Ubuntu 11.04.

Earlier we also shared few wallpapers of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid. Some of them were release after the final release and few were available at the time of beta. Now following the same trend, Canonical is releasing new wallpapers for their feature rich, next generation of Ubuntu OS.

New features in Ubuntu 11.04

Ubuntu 11.04 is coming with lot many changes and new features,

– LibreOffice 3.3 is replacing OpenOffice.org from default office suite. Still OpenOffice.org will be a part of software repository.

– New interface for Ubuntu One online storage system

– Live CD installer to upgrade to next version of Ubuntu from existing installation

– Banshee Media Player will replace Rhythmbox as default audio playback software

– Better integration and support for default software and devices

If you want, you can download and install Ubuntu 11.04 alpha 3 on your computer or virtual machine. But as it is still alpha version, you may get few errors and issues. For the final release, you will have to wait till end of April.
