Clean Google – Home Page Space intentionally left blank and Clean

As we all know Google’s policy, logo, applications, even arranged competitions always looks much cleaner than any other in industry. now going forwards to the next level, Google has changed the look of its home page where you will not find advertising program link, about etc and even the top panel links to gmail, orkut etc at first look. When you will hover the mouse on the page, these things will appear.

Google’s new initiative is to focus on the search operation on home page. There are lot many applications released by Google in recent days and for managing them and the data, Google recently released a new dashboard. Following the same management operation, now they are focusing on Search Box on home page because that is the most important part of Google, Google became popular because of that search box and that should not hide by their own other applications and options.

Below the search box, there is a message appearing as “This space intentionally left blank”, so that viewers could understand the purpose of this new initiative. Once you will hover the mouse on page, top panel, links starts appearing. I think this is a good move from Google so that new users may not confuse with lot many options and links.

Google’s testing is an ongoing process and based on a collection of data for certain time-period, they apply the changes to everywhere. I think this new initiative will help them getting new users who don’t like to see anything else search box on home page. I can understand your feelings.:)
