I would actually recommend holding off on Panda for now. There are some other cloud based antivirus programs that are really making better use of the cloud than Panda. I do appreciate what they are doing, I just think there are better alternatives for this type of application.

AVG Antivirus 9.0 free version is the best free antivirus in my opinion. I have researched on antivirus software a lot and have compared the antivirus programs on various scales. AVG Antivirus 9.0 Free is the best because of more than 1 reasons:
AVG 9.0 is fast – It is second fast antivirus after ESET (paid) on #1.
AVG 9.0 is stable – Most of the bugs have been taken care of, unlike the CA antivirus 2010 which is still being fixed for bugs.
AVG 9.0 scored great – I tested AVG antivirus heavily and in my personal lab tests, AVG scared way above many free antivirus programs.
My findings are based on heavy research. Apart from AVG, Avira is also a good antivirus software. Hope this info helps.
