Enable Multi Monitor Computing: Use your old monitor with laptop to view multiple screen

When you upgrade from desktop to laptop and you are still having the monitor of your desktop with you, then use that as a separate monitor or for multiple screen. Do the following to achieve this type of computing,

multimonitor

  1. Connect the monitor with your laptop thru the VGA port
  2. Start the laptop and also power on the monitor of the desktop
  3. Go to the “display properties” option of the laptop and select the “Display Setting” tab
  4. You will see two monitors over there, 1 and 2 as the image below

extend monitor

Select the second monitor and check the option “Extend the desktop onto this monitor”. and keep the laptop screen as your main monitor. Now you can see that your screen is extended to the second monitor. Enjoy the super wide view of your computer screen, play games, watch movies and many more on your own Super Wide screen laptop.
