After Facebook, Now Twitter and YouTube blocked in Pakistan

Oh no, Not again! After the recent step of blocking Facebook, Pakistan government has decided to block YouTube and Twitter in Pakistan territory. What is going on in Pakistan? All three websites are the best in their segment and people in Pakistan also using these websites for different purposes. Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said that YouTube is hosting lot many “Objectionable content”.

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube blocked in Pakistan

There is some rumor that some sacrilegious caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad were transferred from Facebook to YouTube and after that PTA blocked YouTube in the country.

After blocking YouTube in Pakistan, Internet traffic in Pakistan will decrease by 25% as per the report coming thru Pakistani media. And now PTA has also blocked Twitter the micro blogging and social networking site. There are lot many bloggers in Pakistan as well. Don’t know how they are going to cope with this activity from PTA.

I think Pakistan should ban Terror groups, Terror camp running in Pakistan etc. I don’t think Facebook is going to create such issue over there what terror groups are doing. Hello PTA, people in Pakistan can still access Facebook, Twitter, YouTube thru different free VPN services. One can pass order to block sites but can’t restrict tech savvy people to open that.

Important – We will post article on how to access these sites thru VPN.
