Commenting On Other Blogs may Improve Your Alexa Rank

Writing good posts is very much important in Blogging but the other aspects of professional blogging are also effective and important. For example, Branding. You can promote your blog or site by exposing more and more data to attract advertisers so that you can pay hosting charges and other utility bills. In that kind of branding, Alexa rank of your blogs does play an important role. That’s why as a professional blogger, one should try to do all possible and effective things to improve his or her site’s alexa rank. My site’s Global Alexa improved from 100,000+ to 18,000 in a 9 months time and now it is moving towards 10K in US.

What I did in last 9 months apart from writing articles? I posted lot many comments on my favorite blogs, sites, media websites etc. Sites which are relevant to my interest i.e. technology. And believe me, commenting on other blogs will definitely improve your site’s alexa if you are using your site’s URL in the “Website” section of the comment box on different blogs.

Once your Alexa rank will improve, you can show that on “Advertise Us” page to attract advertisers as well as that Alexa rank will help you on getting popularity on different platforms like IndiBlogger where my site is highlighted as one of the most popular technology blog in India.

I understand that it Alexa Rank doesn’t change in a day or two but takes months or years to improve but believe me once you will start practicing this activity on daily basis or at least for 3 days in a week, you will see your site’s alexa moving in positive direction.

I highly doubt it. I have never experienced such thing buddy. On what basis are you saying so? Alexa depends on traffic or number of hits on their toolbar. Eventhough my traffic is improving my alexa rank is increasing.

Yes, Alexa ranks helps to attract advertisers and establish yourself as an authority. It’s surprising that you got a huge leap in so less time.

I used to think that Posting comments only increases the Technorati authority. Thanks for the post.

Alexa.com is full of BS! Totally unreliable page ranking system and traffic stats! Easily manipulate your page rank by downloading and installing the Alexa Toolbar then browse the pages of your own website and see your page rank improve by 50,000 or more. Unless the website is in the Top 1000, all data from Alexa is a bunch of crap! Not recommended for use as a basis for website performance whatsoever!

LMAO. Someone’s really pissed about Alexa. Just ignore their ranking system if it doesn’t work for you. BTW the toolbar thingy is so true. I tried it once and moved from 500,000 to 200,000 in about less than 2 weeks.
