Add Google Docs On Gmail Dashboard

Google Docs is an online documentation service by Google where you can create a spreadsheet, presentation or word document without any installation. If you are using your Gmail ID for communication and Google Docs for office documentation then enable the option to view Google Docs in Gmail so that you don’t need to open separate window for looking at your document list.

Go to Settings / Labs, and enable the gadget named as “Google Docs Gadget” created by Claudia C and Ted C.

 

 

 

 

Once you will activate the gadget, one extra box will appear on your Gmail Dashboard below the Chat Room. It will have the list of google docs published documents and from there you can access them.

Options over there are such that you can view shared documents and owned documents as well. You can start creating a new document by clicking on the “New” button provided on the box. For opening the Google Docs dashboard, click on the All Docs option.

Online documentations services are on move and that’s why Google, Zoho, Microsoft and other players are trying to create a big name in this sector.
