Small Changes By Google But Bigger Benefits For Bloggers
Today Google started doing a very small change in its search result which is not visible directly on the search result page but that is really beneficial for Bloggers and their blogs. We are talking about the new options for filtering the search results.
Google added “Blogs” on search result filtering option by using which a googler can retrieve results from blogs only. To get that window with options, click on the “Show Options” tab available on the search results (SERP) page. Google added this tab in April – May month of this year thru which you can filter the results on the basis of videos, forums etc but now they have also added “Blogs” in some geographical region and still in process of adding it to all of them. Google is still in process of implementing this change in different geographical locations. That’s why you will not see this option on Google India search Results page yet,
These search results specially from blogs are coming from Google Blog Search. You can ping the Google Blog Search about your blog’s latest post to be visible on blogs search results about keywords. You can also add ping services in Wordpress to ping Google Blog Search or other services automatically after posting a new post on your blog.
People can benefit from Google only if they know how to use it to their advantage. I have seen many b loggers using Google in the Dumbest way possible.
I totally agree with you Rohit that there are lot many shorthands and tricks to use Google effectively. But you can’t blame all bloggers at once because there are lot many bloggers who doesn’t talk about tech stuffs. But, if someone is blogging about tech related things then at least he should know how to use Google effectively. Thanks for sharing your thoughts here.
