Today we carry the data in a handy way in a flash drive or a re-writable DVD etc. In case the data is so huge and you need a fast operation then you should go for the portable hard disks.

Advantages of using portable hard disks:

- You can carry a huge data of around 500GB

- Operation is really fast on Portable Hard Disks

- USB connectivity is available which means connect and play operation

- Essential for backup kind of operation for a big project

Disadvantage:

- You always need to carry an AC adapter as it required to turn on the portable hard disk
