What is the age of your domain and for how many years you have registered the domain? These parameters are really important in terms of search engine optimization as Google or other search engine try to avoid spam sites which live for a couple of years and then die. To show Google that you are serious about blogging and the domain that you have purchased, always register the domain for longer time period.
Age of domain is one of the parameter in google algorithm and weightage of that parameter is considerable. Thanks Ruchi. Actually the price of domain registration depends on the TLD (Top Level Domain) i.e. whether you choose .com, .org, .net etc. dot com domains are for $10/year and you may extend the registration thru your cPanel as well.
Age is really important in SEO. Google will think your website as long term player.
