How To Update Facebook Status Thru SMS in India

Recently Airtel – Twitter SMS service started in India thru which 110 million new users may start twitting thru SMS. But many mobile users still doesn’t know about the SMS service thru which they can update their Facebook status as well. Here is the process to start using mobile text SMS for facebook status update and many more things.

1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/mobile/ and click on Facebook Mobile Text

2. Select Country as “India” and service provider name

3. If you are a “Tata Indicom” user then select “Tata Indicom” from the list or select other service carrier

4. Depending on your mobile service provider, you will get a number to send a text message containing “f” without quotes. Here is the number:

After sending the SMS to the number, you will receive a confirmation code. Now enter the confirmation code on the window open on your computer screen. Done!

You can stop or control the service at any point of time. If you are logged in to your facebook account on your computer then go ahead and click on “Settings” at the top of your facebook window and open “Account Settings”. Go to the “Mobile” tab available on settings page. Control the incoming messages and updates from Facebook or stop that service from there.
