Technorati blog mentioned today that they are going to implement the infrastructural changes which were going in Technorati since last six months. It will change the old crawler with the new one which will crawl the blogs more efficiently. As the number of blogs are increasing rapidly, then it becomes critical to crawl them fast because most of us are updating our blog regularly.
Technorati expects to see all blogs utilizing the new crawler by the end of next week.
“Over the last six months we’ve been working on a rewrite of our blog crawling infrastructure from the ground up.” Dorion Carroll writes in the post. “With a new architectural approach, we’ve added a lot better coverage of many new blogging conventions, better visibility and tracking of what is happening in the internals of the crawler, and how to do a better job of recognizing all the great content bloggers are discussing and linking to.”
We hope for a good time for bloggers who were pinging the Technorati blogosphere manually each time after publishing their post. Please let us know your views regarding Technorati crawler stats for your blog.
