FIX – Smooth Slider 2.1.1 Released

Print This Post

smooth_slider Yesterday, after a quick update on Smooth Slider; some of our users reported issue with the slider image. For certain cases, slider images stopped appearing and that was happening because of a new feature (image crop with timthumb) included in version 2.1 of Smooth Slider.

We do apologize for this issue and today we have released the fix for the same. Smooth Slider 2.1.1 is released today where we have provided an option to choose whether you want to use timthumb for image cropping or not.

Change log for Smooth Slider 2.1.1

==> New – Added an option whether to crop images or not. This was essential after version 2.1 because, some of us use the images from other location than the wordpress installation. In that case timthumb does not operate

After upgrading to Version 2.1.1, you will see a new option under Image Size on Smooth Slider settings page. If you want to use timthumb for image cropping on smooth slider, you just need to check the box beside that option. Here is the screenshot of the same.

Thanks Sanjeev. I noticed the problem this morning only. Went to Smooth slider’s configuration page thinking may be I have mis configured something. Then I remembered yesterdays upgrade must have driven something wrong and thought to contact you. Right then I saw the nag message in the config page indicating an upgrade. I upgraded the plugin and everything is working perfect now.
