How to use Trash feature in WordPress 2.9 Version
WordPress 2.9 is having some new features including ‘Trash’ which is a step before the permanent delete. You can put a post, image, page into trash, if you don’t want to include them in your posts list. For example, if you want to delete a post today because of any reason and you delete that on current version of wordpress i.e. 2.8.6, but after some time you realized that there was no need to delete that post. At that time, you can’t get it back your blog and you will have to write that again. But because of ‘Trash’ feature, you can restore a post put into Trash or you can delete the post permanently from Trash.
So Trash is a place between listed post and permanent deletion. This will help bloggers avoiding any post loss because of wrong selection as well. Here is the screenshot taken from WordPress 2.9 beta where you can see how to use the ‘Trash’ feature.
1. Click on Post ==> Edit to see the list of posts
2. Now hover your mouse on a listed post, you can see a new link as ‘Trash’ besides the ‘Quick Edit’ option.
3. Click on ‘Trash’ to move the post into Trash
4. A message will appear where you can click on ‘Undo’ to get that post back into the list
5. Click on ‘Trash’ link on the top to see posts under Trash
6. Restore or Permanently delete the trashed posts from the Trash folder
