What is Tethering? If you are thinking about this term then here is your answer,
Tethering is the use of a mobile device such as a mobile phone to supply Internet access for another device which is otherwise unconnected, using the mobile device as a modem. This can be done through Bluetooth wireless technology or cables (such as USB). – Wikipedia
Tethering can be used to connect your computer with Internet using iPhone as a modem. This will definitely use more bandwidth from the service provider and that’s why service provider may charge your extra for using this service. Some users says that AT&T takes $60 a month for using Internet Tethering on iPhone.
Hope to get more updates on iPhone OS in WWDC on 7’th June 2010.
