Google Videos users received an email from Google about discontinuation of Google Videos service from April 29. But now they have eliminated the April 29 deadline but encouraging people to upload their videos on YouTube. As there is no option to upload new videos on Google Videos, you still have the access to uploaded videos management screen from where you can manage your uploaded videos. Now if you want to migrate or transfer the existing videos on Google Video to the more popular and favorite platform for video hosting like YouTube, then Google has added a simple checkbox to do so.

As YouTube is also owned by Google, they can migrate your Google Videos to YouTube with their internal programing and manual work. They are offering a checkbox on the Google Videos Management window to transfer the hosting platform from Google Videos to YouTube. You just need to select the video and then click on checkbox which says “Upload videos to YouTube”. For proper transfer, your Google accounts should have a YouTube account associated with. That’s it. Your existing Google Video link will also keep working and the video will be migrated to YouTube.
Download Google Videos
On the Google Videos Management window, you can still see the “Download Video” option which can be used to download the uploaded video file. You can manually upload the downloaded copy to any other video hosting platform or any other YouTube account.
After the Panda update, YouTube videos search ranking improved and they are getting more traffic. As YouTube’s technology is much better than the old Google Video technology and a dedicated YouTube team is working hard to make the video hosting much better, that’s why Google doesn’t want to have two separate platforms for same purpose. YouTube is no doubt having a large audience for your uploaded videos, so go ahead and migrate your Google Videos to YouTube with single click option provided by Google.
