This new addition will definitely help gmail on mobile to reach more and more non-English speaking regions. New languages included in gmail webapp for mobile are,

Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (UK and American), Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian (Bokmal), Polish, Portuguese (for both Portugal and Brazil), Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish (for both Spain and South America), Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukranian, Urdu and Vietnamese

Apart from languages, you will also get smart link feature where title for links related to YouTube, Google Maps and Google Docs will appear in Gmail. You can also use add and remove labels in gmail webapp on Andorid and iPhone. These new features works on iPhone running iOS 2.2.1 and above and for all Android phones.
