Android phone owners will see a new and improved Android Market to download and install apps. Free and Paid apps are available on current market. The revamped Android Market will have some design changes as well as payment refund changes.
Payment Refund Window Change
Currently the return-for-refund window for Android App is 24 hours but in new Android Market, that window will reduce to 15 minutes. As most of the users raise refund request within minutes of purchase of the app, that’s why the window is reduced.
Design and Style Changes
Related Apps are coming on the detailed page of a particular app and then the featured apps section on the home screen. The design of the new Android Market is much sleeker as per the reports. Two new categories are coming to the market, one is Widgets and other is Live Wallpapers. They can add more categories in future as well. The android market app content will also have a rating system in place.

To make it easier for developers to distribute and manage their products, we will introduce support for device targeting based on screen sizes and densities, as well as on GL texture compression formats. We are also increasing the maximum size for .apk files on Market to 50MB, to better support richer games.
New Android Market will work for Android OS 1.6 and higher. The rollout of this new, revamped Android market will happen in next 2 weeks.
