In the first week of January, Skype released beta 1 for 2.1 version of Skype for Linux and now beta 2 for the same version is released. You can download an install this new beta on your Linux distributions like Ubuntu, Fedora etc.

What’s New in Skype 2.1 Beta 2

  • Screen Sharing – This option is already there in Skype 4.1 for Windows. Now you can share your full screen or a particular selection using this “Share Screen” option on Skype for Linux.
  • Local Time Format
  • Support of UI Styles
  • Now Quote a message in a chat / conversations on Skype

Skype 4.1 is already available for Windows and 2.8 is available for Mac. You may choose to select a particular Skype for your OS from the Skype Download Page.
