Real Time Search is a new way of showing the search results for a keyword. Twitter search is the best example of real time search engine where the pages got indexed in real time which means that whenever people twit about any topic and share a link, it will get indexed in twitter search. Now whenever a user search for a keyword, the result will include the twit just shared by some other user.
In traditional style search engine like Google, Yahoo etc, it takes at least 2 or 3 days to index a webpage and show it in search results. Google is aware about this concern and that’s why the buzz was there that Google may acquire Twitter in coming days. But the recent comment from Google CEO Eric Schmidt took the whole story into other direction. He said that “Google doesn’t have to “buy everyone to work with them.” It means Google can treat Twitter as a partner and show their result in Google Search as well.
Whatever will happen to Twitter and Google story but the fact is people are now preferring real time search engine like Twitter over traditional search engines.
