After the upgrade to the latest version (version 3.2) of Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP), many WordPress users are seeing duplicate posts in the “Related Posts” section on their blogs. Because of that, our own plugin “Related Posts Slider” was also showing duplicate posts in the related posts slider below the post content area or wherever it is added. Here is the fix for that issue.

Because of YARPP issue, RPS is also showing duplicate posts,

Solution for the Duplicate Posts on Related Section by YARPP

Issue is happening because of the related posts cache feature added in the YARPP version 3.2. You need to add “&action=flush” in the admin URL of the “YARPP” i.e. to the end of URL of YARPP settings page on your WordPress Dashboard. For example,

http://example.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=yet-another-related-posts-plugin/options.php&action=flush

Note: replace “example.com” with the domain name of your WordPress blog.

Hit the enter by adding &action=flush to the end of the URL. Now open a post in edit mode and se whether the edit window is showing duplicate related posts generated by YARPP or not. If you are using any other Cache plugin like WP Super Cache, then delete the Cache generated by those plugins as well.

Now you can see related posts appearing only for once on the related posts section on your WordPress blog. Once YARPP will start providing related posts for once, “Related Posts Slider” will also show posts only for once (no duplicate posts).

Here is the link for the discussion where YARPP owner Mitcho explained the Cache clearing solution for YARPP duplicate posts issue.
